CLACTON-ON-SEA OLD ROAD TM 1716 GREAT CLACTON (west side) 13/21 The Maltings and shop on corner of St. John's Road, attached to and GV II Formerly a house, now a house, shop and return of No. 1 St. John's Road q.v. 14/28. C17/C18 with later alterations. Timber framed and plastered. Hipped red plain tiled roof with darker red diapering. Off centre right and rear left red brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys. L-plan with right return to St. John's Road. House to left. End pilasters and also to left and right of door. 4 small paned vertically sliding sashes to first floor. A similar window to ground floor left. 2 C20 small paned shop window oriels to right with a small paned shop door between. House doorway to left with moulded surround, reveal panels, flat canopy on brackets. 4 panelled door, fanlight over with glazing bars.
