House, early C19, now a residential institution. Stuccoed brick, slate roof.
Aligned approx. NE-SW, aspect SE, with 2 short wings extending forward to
enclose a recessed entrance. 2 chimney stacks behind ridge. Rear extension
with flat roof, C20, and to E with hipped roof, C19/20. 2 storeys. Central
half-glazed door with fixed light each side in flat-roofed porch with 6 Doric
columns. One casement window to each side with external louvred shutters.
First floor, 4 similar windows with shutters. Hipped roof of very shallow pitch
with long overhang at eaves. The whole forms a symmetrical elevation of
pronounced Regency character.
