TM 0006 BRADWELL-ON-SEA HIGH STREET (west side) 10/49 White Lyons 18.11.83 GV II

House, formerly 2 dwellings. Late C15 with early C19 facade. Timber framed, brick facades to front and rear walls, plastered returns. Red plain tiled roof. External left and C18 rear left red brick chimney stacks, C16 external truncated stack to right. Stone coping and band to parapet, central band. 2 storeys and attics. 6 window range to first floor, second and fifth blocked, all with gauged brick arches, 4 range to ground floor, that to right a C19 shop window with glazing bars, moulded surround, flat canopy on moulded brackets, all others small paned vertically sliding sashes. Reveal panels to 2 round headed recessed porches, 6 panelled doors, traceried lights over. 4 bay heavy oak frame originally jettied to east (front) and the 3 smaller rear bays. Original front and rear walls removed when brick facade was built. South bay floor joists have soffit shoulders with low centre tenons, similar but with a top spur to north bay. Stone fire surround with 3 centre arched head. High quality double framed side purlin roof with applied down bracing. Halved and bridled scarf to top plate.
