House. C16, altered in early C19. Timber framed, roughcast rendered, roofed
with slate. 4 bays facing NE, with axial stack one bay from left end, internal
stack at right end, C19 external stack at left end, and wing of 3 bays behind
right end, forming an L-plan. 2 storeys. Ground floor, 3 early C19 sashes of
16 lights. First floor, 4 C18 casements (3 of 3 lights, one of 2 lights) each
with one wrought iron casement and rectangular leading. 6-panel door, the top 2
panels glazed, in pilastered and pedimented doorcase, early C19. Moulded
cornice, returning approx. 1 metre round ends. Low-pitched roof with long
overhang. The main range has one roll-moulded axial beam, one boxed axial beam,
one chamfered transverse beam with lamb's tongue stops. The first floor has
been raised approx. 0.50 metre, and the walls have been raised approx. 2 metres
to create a high upper storey. Internal tiebeams removed. The rear range has
chamfered axial beams, and late C18 windows similar to those at the front.
