House. Circa 1620, altered in C19/20. Timber framed, plastered, facade of painted brick in Flemish bond, roofed with handmade red plain tiles. 3 bays facing S with axial stack in middle bay, forming a lobby-entrance, and extension to rear of left and middle bays with catslide roof. 2 storeys. 2-window range of C20 casements. C20 central door. Close studding with primary straight bracing. In right bay, chamfered axial beam with lamb's tongue stops, moulded joists of horizontal section chamfered with lamb's tongue stopes, large wood-burning hearth lined with C20 brickwork, original 3-plank door to cupboard. Left bay, chamfered axial beam, joists plastered to the soffits, wide wood-burning hearth with renewed mantel beam. Stair behind stack. To first-floor right room, original moulded 3-plank door. Above first floor, original chamfered axial beams with lamb's tongue stops. Original clasped purlin roof with some re-used smoke-blackened medieval rafters.
