House, mainly C16, with C17 extension, altered in C19/20. Timber framed,
plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. Hall range aligned NE-SW with
axial chimney stack at NE end, and 2 2-bay crosswings. C17 extension of one
bay to NW of SW crosswing. C19/20 single-storey lean-to extension to NW of
hall range. C19/20 external chimney stack on NE elevation. 2 storeys and
attic. SE elevation, continuous jetty, 3 matching gables of which the middle
one is a facade gable. Central 6-panel door with top panels glazed, 3-window
range of C19/20 casements and one more in central gable. The interior has
jowled posts, curved braces trenched inside heavy studs, beams in hall range
with double ovolo mouldings, plain joists of horizontal section. RCHM 5.
