Lodge cottage. Circa 1838. Red brick with moulded brickwork. Red plain tiled roof. Left and centre red brick chimney stacks with moulded bases and capping. 2 storey gabled crosswing to left. One storey and attics range to right. A central band of moulded brickwork carries through from left to right to an enclosed gabled porch at centre of right range. Moulded brick band above this porch. Eaves band of cinquefoil moulding to right range. Moulded cornices to crosswing and porch gables and right parapet verge. Moulded band to crosswing gable follows through over segmental headed first floor window. Stone panel over moulded band to porch gable with central stone shield. 3:1 window range to ground floor. All windows with panes of leaded coloured glass and segmental heads. Doorway with moulded segmental arch. Vertically boarded door. The Lodge and its attached walls form part of the stable complex listed q.v. 2/130. Built as a dwelling house and school for the Village.
