Details
NOTLEY ROAD 1. 885 (East Side) BRAINTREE Angel Inn TL 7522 1/121 II GV 2. A C17 timber-framed mid plastered house, altered and added to in the C18 and C19. 2 storeys. The main block has 3 window range and a later extension at the south end has 1 window range, a further extension on the south end has no windows on the front. The windows are mainly double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in flush cased frames. The first extension on the south has C20 casements on the ground storey, I%ie doorway is approached by steps and has a C19 gabled porch on brackets, with shaped bargeboards. Roofs tiled and stepped down to a lower eaves level on each extension. RCHM (56).
Angel Inn and Nos 27 to 31 (odd) form a group.
