2. Originally probably a C15-C16 timber-framed and plastered house but extensively altered and renovated. It was formerly called 'Chantry House' and was used as a parish workhouse in the C18. 2 storeys. Casement windows. There are cross wings at the east and west ends. The centre block and the east wing are tile hung. Roof tiled. (RCHM 9).
