LONDON ROAD 1. 5236 (North West Side) Holybourne Andrews Endowed C of E Primary School. (Formerly listed as Holybourne Free School) SU 7340 1/18 13.3.51. II* 2. 1721-30, the fenestration later. 2 storeys plus attic; 5 bays. Purple brick with red dressings; tiled roof with central chimney. Ground floor with central pedimented doorcase flanked on each side by a single sash window and a single tripartite casement. Above the door a small engraved brass panel reading 'Holybourn (sic) Free School Endowed by Mr Thomas Andrews Anno Domini 1719'. Band at 1st floor level. 1st floor with 3 central sashes and outer tripartite casements. Moulded and bracketted wood cornice. 3 asymmetrically placed dormer windows in the roof. Considerable modern extensions at the back. VCH, Hants II, p 515.
