9/6 Church of St. Luke
II
Parish church. 1901, by l'Anson and Son. Stone walls, and tiled roof. Early English design : chancel with north vestry and south tower, nave of 5 bays with aisles, south porch. The walls have buttresses, the clerestory windows have 4- cusped roundels above coupled lancets, the aisles have triple lancets, the east window is traceried, and the west gable has a 4-cusped roundel above 5 lancets. The tower has a shingled broach spine, and flat buttresses. Inside, the roof has an arch-braced Queen post truss, and there is a round-bowl font.
