House. Early C18. Stone and stucco, with a slate roof. Symmetrical front (east) of 2 storeys and attic, 5 windows. Steep hipped roof: 3 dormers with fully-moulded cornices, having triangular pediments on either side of a segmental pediment, and casements. Ashlar walls, with stone coping to a deep parapet, containing panels above the openings,early C19 Gothic weathering band below the parapet and at lst floor level, rubbed brick arches (cambered to the 1st floor, flat to the ground floor), deep plinth (cut away for the ground floor cills), stone cills. Sashes in exposed frames. The doorway has a plain frame, enclosing a Gothic fanlight, and double doors with ½-glazing, with narrow side lights. The rear, (west) elevation it not symmetrical, of 4 upper windows; the walls have been stuccoed, with plain parapet namd and high plinth, panels on the parapet above the openings, sashes in exposed frames and a C20 brick porch, the old wider inner door having panelled reveals. The end walls are mainly of ironstone with brick dressings, the north side having an old leaded casement in the attic gable. There is an old hopper-head at the north east corner. Inside, there are panelled doors in architraves, and a room having C18 pinewood panelling, C17 panelling below the dado, a C17 (re-used) door, a C18 cupboard (of niche form), and a stone fire-surround with a simple moulding.
