Details
SU 73 NW FARRINGDON CROWS LANE
2/52 Beloms GV II House. Mainly mid C18, but of earlier origin as a timber-framed structure. Rendered wall, 1st floorband, plinth. ½-hipped tiled roof. Early C19 sashes in exposed frames with small surrounding panes. 6-panelled (2-top glazed) door within a thin architrave, panelled reveals, and moulded canopy on carved brackets. The other walls are of painted brickwork in Flemish bond. Interior: remains of framing and a C17 joist, but the general appearance is C18, with panelled doors in architraves, and a moulded fireplace surround. Documents related to the site include a deed of 1734.
