Barn, subsequently used as accommodation. Late C17/early C18, with C19 and C20 alterations and additions. TImber framed with weatherboard cladding, some replaced by brieze block or concreted brick infill, partly on rubblestone and brick plinth; additions of rubblestone with brick quoins. Hipped plain tile roof. 3 bays, fully aisled with opposed central cart entries, the left (south) aisle replaced by separately framed wing (C18), so presenting 4- bay elevation; left bay masked by projecting C20 sheler-shed addition; at rear, the 3 right-hand bays masked by late C19 2 storey, gabled addition. Front has cart-entry rising through eaves under hipped gable, the doors replaced by smaller door, windows and overlight; 2 small windows and board door on right. Rear: left bay has wall studs exposed, addition is ivy-covered, but board door, small-pane windows, and weatherboarded gable visible. Left return: two inserted doorways (one blocked) and window. Right return: a small inserted window. Interior: much of the original timber framing survives, including large-scantling aisle posts, heavily jowled, with arch braces to aisle plates and tie-beams and wall-ties, wall studs on sole plate; old rafters, left wing has raking queen posts supporting principal rafters. Inserted partitioning, floor and ceilings.
