AMPFIELD A31 SU 42 SW 4/9 Old Vicarage (formerly listed as Vicarage) 29.5.57 II
Vicarage now private house. Late C18, with early and late C19 alterations and extensions. Brick in header bond to old front, Flemish bond to sides, English bond to rear, old plain tile roof. 3 x 3 bay, 2 storey building, with extensions to each side early C19 and late C19, of one bay. Symmetrical front. Central 6-panelled half-glazed door, under arched opening with radiating fanlight, panelled reveal, Doric doorcase with open pediment on pilasters. 12-pane sashes, except for rectangular bay with tripartite sash, late C19. Brick dentil eaves. Hipped Roof. L C19 wing brought forward with a gable. Irregular rear elevations which include C18 mullion and transom leaded window. Interior has plain staircase, panelled doors in architraves.
