Cottage. Circa late C17 or early C18, probably extended in circa late C18 or early C19. White painted flint with brick dressings. Thatched roof with half-hipped ends. Axial and end stacks with brick shafts. PLAN: 3-cell plan; the right hand room divided axially. The original cottage probably consisted of the central room (hall) with a gable end stack and smaller possibly unheated parlour on the right, now with a stack at the right hand end. The small unheated service room on the left end might have been added in the late C18 or early C19. EXTERIOR: 1 storey and attic 4-window SE front. C19 2 and 3-light casements with glazing bars. Eyebrows in the eaves over 2 attic windows at centre and left. Doorway to right of centre with chamfered wooden doorcase and C20 glazed door now enclosed within a large late C20 glazed porch. Casements and no extensions at rear. INTERIOR: Central room (hall) has chamfered axial beam with curved stops and large fireplace its jambs and lintel plastered over. Right hand room ceiled and with C20 chimneypiece. Attics ceiled but centre/chamber has exposed purlins and one straight windbrace.
