2/32 Moor Place Farm House 8.7.52 - II*
Formerly the Manor House of Great Bramshill Manor. C15, C16, C17, early C19. Large house of several periods; the southern unit is a late medieval timber- framed hall, attached at its north side (to make a long west front) is a later and more massive timber-framed structure, with a staircase outshot at the centre of its east side; also on the east side attached to the outside of the frame are 3 massive Tudor stacks, each with 3 separated diagonal flues on a rectangular base; other lower outshots on the east side. West front of 2 storeys and attic, 3 windows. Red tile roof; ½ hipped at ends. Roughcast walling with exposure of frame at the ground-floor at the south side. Casements. 2 plain doorways (1 very wide). The south end is in brickwork (mixed bond) with a ½ timbered gables, an upper 6-light casements, ground-floor cambered openings with casements and a door. Within are several Tudor brick fireplaces with 4-centred arches and chamfered edges, also solid door frames with mouldings stopped on a chamfered plinth, old boarded doors, and a winding timber staircase.
