Detached house (possibly once divided into two). Early-mid C18. Brick with sandstone quoins at ground floor level. Red tile roof with brick stack. Rectangular plan. Two storeys and attic. Two- windowed entrance front. Three-light steel casement to the ground floor to the right of the C19 plank door within a heavy-pegged frame. Two blocked windows to the first floor. Incomplete band over first floor windows. Two-light casements to gable end facing the lane. Windows to ground floor with blind segmental heads. Bands over ground and first floor windows. Blocked segmental- headed doorway at the centre of the opposite gable end. Plank door within a segmental headed surround to the left. Blind segmental- headed window to the first floor. Garret window with a soldier- arched head. Large projecting stack from rear wall with a brick shaft and an octagonal ashlar stack. Interior; square-panelled timber framed partition walls. Flag flooring. Small range set within a large open fireplace. Two bread ovens set in wall to the left of the fireplace. Washing copper in the adjoining room. Staircase from former kitchen is probably a later insertion. Reused C17 panelling with nulling at top at the base of the latter. Ceiling beams with moulded stops set back from the wall. Original roof trusses with butt purlins. Square-panelled timber-framed partition divides the two attic rooms.
