Detached cottage. C17 and late C18-early C19. square-panelled
timber framing with painted brick infill; extension brick on a
limestone plinth. Red tile roof to timber-framed main body. Stone
slate roof to later extension. Brick stacks. C17 main body
probably rectangular with late C18-early C19 extension at right
angles. C17 main body 1½ storeys. One bay visible with a
projecting rectangular bay window with a flat roof and a 4-light
casement to the ground floor. C20 gable with imitation timber-
framing and a 2-light casement above. Single bay extension
projects forwards left. Two storeys and attic. Two-light roof
dormer to attic. Two 3-light casements with horizontal glazing
bars and blind segmental heads to right-hand return. Access to
house via a C19 plank door in the right gable end of the timber-
framed main body to left of a large projecting stack with offsets
with sawtooth decoration at top. Small projecting stack from gable
end of extension also with sawtooth brickwork at top. Interior not
inspected.
