House in row. Early to mid C17. Dressed coursed squared limestone, stone slate
roofs to coped gables. 4 typical cross-gabled Cotswold town house, set gable to
street and with end gable entry beside stack. Two storeys and attic: at ground
and first floors a 3-light recessed chamfer mullion casement that at first floor
rising well above eaves line, and a 2-light high in the gable. To the left a
2-light the same at ground floor, all with C20 steel casement inserts, except in
gable, which has iron casements with diamond single pane set in full height and
width. On return, right, a small stair light above a lean-to, and a plank door
in moulded surround and with stopped hood, left. Back has a further full gable,
uncoped, and concrete tile. A good survival in a street where much has been
replaced or modified.
