II
Detached house. Mid C18; enlarged mid C19. Random rubble limestone, ashlar front; ashlar chimneys; stone and Welsh slate roofs. Two-storey, double pile plan. Front: 5-window fenestration, all 8-pane sashes with moulded stone architraves. Two-light chamfered mullioned cellar casements. Central doorway with C19 flat-roofed porch addition having Tudor arch and double panelled doors; Tudor arched side windows. High panelled parapet, panel divisions on centre-line of each window. Parapets return at gable - ends. Gable end mounted chimneys with moulded caps. Parallel-roofed rear range. Front wall has pair of gate piers with moulded caps, walls swept up at ends. Interior not inspected. Used as vicarage for Hyde chapel until Brimscombe Church and a new vicarage (now Burleigh Hall, q.v.) built in C19.
