House in row. C16 and C17. Large squared coursed limestone blocks, slate
roof. A complex building with a near-symmetrical section to left, but straight
joint in masonry above right hand window, and doorway extreme right. Two
storeys; at ground floor under a continuous stopped drip, two 3-light hollow
chamfer mullioned casements and a central single light, possibly replacing a
door, all with C20 leading. Above left is a 3-light hollow chamfer mullioned
casement with stopped drip, and, above the door, a 2-light plain chamfer mullion
casement. Extreme right is an early plank door with nail-heads in a pointed
chamfer-surround opening. To left is a lofty stone stack with skirt; this may
have been an external gable stack, as there is a straight joint to the frontage,
far left, then a short section of ashlar stitched to the adjoining property.
