II

Formerly 2 houses, now detached house. C16; C17 back wing. Timber-framed with variety of infill materials; brick chimneys; replacement concrete tile roof. Front part of house: 2-room, single-storey with attic. Back wing, forming T-plan: single-room with cross-passage, 2-storey. Front of small framing with scattered fenestration: off centre plank door and 2 casements. East gable end: pair of crucks, partly obscured by weatherboarding at apex; painted brick to ground floor; plank door to small opening dating from use as a shop; single small-paned casement above in timber-framing. West end mostly rebuilt in brick with projecting brick chimney stack. Scattered fenestration to east side of small- framed back wing includes canted timber-framed oriel to upper floor. South gable end is brick with projection brick chimney stack and attached brick lean-to. West side is small-framed with altered but framed-up scattered C20 fenestration. Further internal pair of crucks in front part of house; surviving internal wattle and daub panels. Attached single-storey weatherboarded addition to west of front house is not of special interest.
