Details
BARRINGTON MIDDLE ROAD, SP 2012-2112 Little Barrington Village 11/115 The Old Vicarage 23.1.52 GV II Former vicarage, now house. Early-mid C19 with later extensions. Coursed squared and dressed limestone, stone slate roof with ashlar stack. Rectangular plan to main body with later extensions to left-hand return and rear right. C20 flat-roofed extension at rear not of special interest. Symmetrical, 2-storey, 3-windowed facade lit by 12-pane sashes. Central C19 six-panel door with rectangular hall-light with marginal glazing bars above. Central open-sided portico with freestanding Doric columns at front and engaged responds, all supporting a flat stone roof with moulded margin. Extension set back to left of main body. Two storeys with a 2- light stone-mullioned casement to the ground floor and a 2-light wooden casement with glazing bars to the first floor. Roof hipped at front with twin hipped gables at rear. Axial stacks. Interior not inspected.
