Details

BARRINGTON GREAT BARRINGTON VILLAGE SP 2013-2113 (south side) 10/69 No 51 (now incorporates house formerly 23.1.52 listed as No 50) GV II House (fomerly 2 cottages in row). Early-mid C19. Coursed squared and dressed limestone. Stone slate roof with ashlar stacks. Rectangular plan with a small extension to the right gable end. Five-windowed garden front. All 2-light C20 wooden casements with leaded panes. Some windows with timber lintels some with concrete lintels. Part-glazed C20 door with flat canopy supported on moulded brackets to the left-hand cottage. Doorway to formerly separate cottage on the right now blocked with a small casement window inserted in the blocking. Canopy formerly over door retained. Roadside front; one 2-light and one 3-light stone- mullioned casement both with leaded panes. Blocked central doorway with small single-light window inserted in the blocking. Flat coping at the right gable end. Gable-end and axial stacks. (Barrington Park Estate).
