LITTLE RISSINGTON LITTLE RISSINGTON VILLAGE SP 1819-1919 8/226 Hillside House (formerly listed as Cottage opposite the Old Rectory an 25.8.60 House abutting and on E. of Cottage opposite the Old Rectory) GV II Formerly three cottages, now one. Late C17-early C18 with early C19 extension. Orange and cream coloured coursed squared and dressed limestone. Roofing mostly concrete tile where the roof faces the street, some stone slate remains at front, more remains at the rear. Ashlar stacks restored with incised render. 'L'- shaped plan. Late C17-early C18 cottage on corner with gable end facing the main road, early C19 cottages at right angles to the right. All parts two storeys and attic. Two and 3-light wooden casements with timber lintels and horizontal glazing bars to right. One 3-light and one single-light C20 stone-mullioned casement and one C17-early C18 stone-mullioned casement to the left-hand return. Two-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement to the first floor of the gable end facing the main road. Single double- chamfered garret light to the attic. C20 fielded six-panel door with the upper two panels glazed. Axial and gable-end stacks.
