Details

LITTLE RISSINGTON LITTLE RISSINGTON VILLAGE SP 1819-1919 8/236 Mullions (formerly listed as one of two 25.8.60 cottages abutting and on the S. of The Cottage) GV II House at the end of a row. Late C17-early C18, extended mid-late C18. Coursed squared and dressed limestone with dressed stone quoins. Concrete tile roof, artificial stone stack on the base of an ashlar stack. Rectangular plan comprising the right-hand bay of one house with an extension to the right gable end. Two storeys and attic. Two-windowed facade (including extension). Two 3-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements to the ground floor, both with stopped hoods, two 2-light stone-mullioned casements, one with a stopped hood and double chamfers, to the first floor. Five- light canted bay to ground floor of gable end, 3-light steel casement above. Single-light C20 timber clad dormer. C20 door with fillets and concrete lintel between the two ground floor windows, up two stone steps. Flat coped gables and gable-end stack. Half-hipped roof to the extension. Interior not inspected.
