Large stable block containing cottage and coaching accommodation.
Late C19. Coursed and dressed stone with ashlar dressings, hipped
tile roof, large stone ridge stacks at south end with offset and
moulded cornice. Large rectangular block with open central
courtyard, single storey and attic with hipped dormers towards
south end. South side has large central cross gable, coped with
weathervane, with slit vent and 2-light stone mullion and large
segmental through carriage arch with keystone and original double
doors set within archway. Two and 3-light stone mullion casements
to each side, in flush stone frames. South-east corner curved with
decorative corbelling out of wall to carry corner hip. East side
has smaller cross gable with loft doors in gable. East and west
sides have lunette windows with radial glazing on outside, with
large flush stone band below. On inside, loose boxes to west,
carriage arches to north and part of east side. Almost all
original doors remain.
