Detached house, dated and initialled S.T.E 1799 on diamond shaped
datestone towards apex of right gable end, and C19. Coursed
squared and dressed limestone, stone slate roof, ashlar stacks, one
rebuilt C20 reusing some original ashlar blocks. Rectangular main
body with 'L'-shaped C19 extension at rear. Main body; 2 storeys
and attic. Three-windowed facade. Three 3-light stone-mullioned
casements with stopped hoods to first floor all with glazing bars.
Three-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement ground floor
left with 8-pane sash forming central light. Four-light canted bay
far right with stone mullions and transoms, glazing bars and flat
leaded roof. Central glazed C20 door within flat-chamfered
surround and flat stone canopy with moulded margin. Cellar under
left end of main body. Two-light metal casement with timber lintel
and two single-lights in right gable end. C19 extension; C20
canted bay to brick lean-to to ground floor left. Part-glazed C20
door within shallow cast-iron porch to wall at right angles right.
C20 wooden scallop shell overmantle over porch. Formerly open-
fronted store now with openings blocked right. Roof; gable end
stacks and flat gable end coping to main body. Axial stack to
extension. Interior not inspected.
