Large house in terrace composed of 2 adjoining buildings of which right hand part may have been several cottages. Right hand wing early C17 or late C16, left hand wing late C17 or early C18 rear with mid C18 frontage. Rubble stone rendered across both parts, Cotswold stone slate roof. Left hand side has ashlar frieze, cornice, blocking course and plinth and 2 tall ashlar end stacks with moulded caps. Front range and double rear range at right angles. 3 storeys and attic. 4 windows, 12-pane sashes with flat stone sills. 3 windows on ground floor with flush panelled double doors and long plain fanlight to left. 3-light hipped dormer. Right hand side with large blind gable to street of 2 storeys and rear attic. 2 windows, widely spaced 12-pane sashes on both floors with carriage arch with double doors to right. Rear brick stacks to both wings. Interior: gabled side has former exterior shutters on both floors into later C18 part which was originally open yard. C18 front has fine depressed arches from front to back in central hall with original dog-leg stair with ramped handrail, many original beams and floorboards. Some original glass in front windows.
