BOURTON-ON-THE-HILL MAIN STREET SP 1732 (south side) 10/51 The Old Brewhouse, Bourton House GV II Old brewhouse, formerly bakery, now detached store. Late C16. Built for Richard Palmer. Large coursed squared and dressed limestone blocks, C20 concrete tile roof with limestone gable end coping and ashlar stack. Rectangular plan. Single storey. Irregular fenestration; stable type single window with wooded ventilation slits far left; 6-light stone mullioned casement with unusually tall diamond leaded lights; central plank door with cover strips in flat-chamfered surround; 3-light, stone-mullioned casement with stopped hood right of door. Braces to either side of door. Left corner cut away to incorporate ball finial. Flat gable end coping with roll-cross finials. Single stack off centre right.
