Details
BOURTON-ON-THE-HILL MAIN STREET SP 1732 (south side) 10/65 Porch House GV II Detached house. Late C17-early C18 main body, C19 extension, C20 porch. Coursed squared and dressed limestone. Limestone slate roof with limestone gable coping and ashlar stacks. Plan: 'L'- shaped main body with C20 porch and C19 extension right. Facade: 2 storeys and attic lit by 2-light roof dormer with leaded panes. Cellar at rear of C17 main body. 5-windows to whole. C17 main body: 3 flat-chamfered cross windows to first floor; Two C19 canted bays with sash windows flanking central part-glazed formerly 6-panelled front door up 3 steps. C20 glazed porch. Extension at lower level right: two 12-pane sashes to first floor with canted bay as before, lower left. 9-pane fixed casement lower right. Right corner cut away. Flat gable coping, twin flue gable end stacks with moulded caps and skirtings. Interior not inspected.
