Details
TL 3915 WARE RURAL WARESIDE (west side) 10/11 Hermitage Cottage (Formerly listed as No 2/3 24.1.67 (Hermitage Cottage) under High Street) GV II
House. C17 or earlier. Timber frame plastered with steep old red tile roof. A long one and a half storeys building near the road. Entrance now from rear. Road front (E) has 5-windows irregularly spaced, and 3 gabled dormers set on the wallplate. 2-light and 4-light flush casement windows with dripboard over. 2-light casements to dormers with dripboards. Probably 5 structural bays. Central chimney to N of centre and small external cable chimney at S end.
