No. 10 (National Westminster Bank) (formerly listed as No. 10 National Provincial Bank) GV II
Dwelling, now bank. Mid C18. Rendering ashlared, painted stone rusticated quoins and cornice with modillions, stone plinth, stone slate front slope, concrete plain tile reverse slope and wing. Lofty and broad structure, with very wide reverse roof slope and large projecting wing steeply roofed with concrete tile. Three storeys plus basement, three windowed in three- one-three lights with fluted pilasters: top floor square heads, middle and bottom floors outer windows venetian, with small projecting keys central first floor arched, all these in wood surrounds and detail at wall face, sashes without bars. Door up four stone steps, bottom two risers projecting in segment of circle, new eight panel and rectangular fanlight with complex bar tracery; segmental pediment with pulvinated frieze, on scroll brackets, all in painted stone. Ground floor interior detail concealed by Bank fittings; windows retain internal painted shutters generally. Good bifurcated C19 stair, and several C18 panelled rooms especially in back wing.
