(formerly listed as Former dovecote
14.11.79 and smithy to north of Boddington
Manor)
GV II
Former dovecote. C17 or C18, later alterations. Roughly squared
stone brought to courses, larger quoins, tiled roof. Two storeys,
rectangular. To road, ground floor 2-light wooden window to right
of centre, timber lintel. Coved stone eaves; glover on ridge,
sides covered felt, pyramid roof. Right return, ground floor
hidden. Coved eaves returned across gable at foot: above change
in stonework outlining narrower, steeper gable within existing
(1987) one. Interior not inspected: nests were still intact on
the upper floor in 1979.
