Detached house, altered to 2 houses in C19; now single house. C18 with C19 additions; late C20 alterations. Coursed and squared rubble limestone; stone slate roof. 2-storey with attic; formerly central staircase plan; 2 back wings, both 2-storey; C20 infill between wings. Front: 3-window 2-storey facade; central doorway with hipped porch remaining from C19 division, C19 sashes in openings with plain beaded architraves and keystones; plain band at upper floor level; ashlar chimneys with moulded caps mounted on parapet end gables. Single window fenestration in sides of back wings are small-paned casements with stone lintels. 3 gable ends at back: outer 2 are of C19 wings with ridge-mounted ashlar chimneys; central is late C20 infill; single window fenestration to end of each wing, all small-paned casements with stone lintels; one wing has small brick lean-to; artificial stone surrounds to single window C20 fenestration; C20 plank door. Front garden has flanking stone walls and hoop-topped iron railings with matching gate across front. Dominates centre of village.
