Details

BIBURY ARLINGTON SP 1006-1106 11/54 Arlington Farmhouse (previously listed as Farmhouse 23.1.52 North West of The Manse) GV II Detached farmhouse. Mid-late C17; c1800 enlargement. Coursed rubble limestone; ashlar and yellow brick chimneys; stone slate roof. Lobby entry; 2-storey with attic; 2-storey rear wing. South west front: 2-window fenestration, 3-light wide mullioned and transomed casements to ground floor, 3-light mullioned casements to upper floor. Central gabled porch with timber lintel and 6-panel door. Central ridge-mounted chimney with moulded cap. North west side: gable end of c1800 front block to right with scattered mullioned and transomed casement fenestration. Rear wing runs to left with mix of C20 casements and 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements. Two doorways with flat timber porch hoods and C20 doors. Yellow brick ridge-mounted chimneys. South east side: 2 and 3-light chamfered mullioned casements with hoodmoulds to wing. Central doorway with concrete lintel and C20 door. Interior not inspected.
