11/28 Pickering monument in churchyard, about 9m east of south-east corner of chancel, Church of St. Andrew

GV II

Pedestal tomb; Joseph Pickering. died 1804; stone. Pyramid top, with double step to lid, moulded edge. Frieze alternate fluting and oval paterae. Sides raised oval rim with paterae in corners. North and south sides slightly different from east and west. Moulded base. Indented corners to whole monument. Gothic lettering in first line of inscription; black paint in letters.
