1925. Architect Leslie Mansfield for (Sir) Gordon Russell. Additions 1935 by J C Shepherd. Garden layout by Geoffrey Jellicoe. Large irregular Cotswold-style house. Rubble with Cotswold stone roofs. Stone mullioned windows. Garden front has 2 Cotswold gables and gable end with GRT1925. Numerous interesting features including imbricated lintel to door to north-east moulded string to first floor cill level, cross plan and cross gabled pavilion to north Shepherd's additions include a 1930's style entrance by a rock-pool to north-west and set back link to west.Low gargoyle to south-east over spring head representing Sir Gordon Russell.
