Terrace of 4 houses, some with original shop fronts. Dated at rear LB 1838. Squared, coursed carstone blocks, slate roofs. 4 2 bay 2 storey houses.
No. 37 to north (N. Kettle Limited, Chemist) has shop front with panelled architrave surround, window divided by central thin pier supporting 2 unmoulded semi-circular arches; altered fascia and inserted C20 door at north. 2 first floor sashes with margin-lights and glazing bars.
No. 39 to south has similar shop front retaining in addition fascia and moulded cornice, rectangular fanlight with glazing bars above inserted C20 door. 2 first floor sashes with margin lights and glazing bars.
No. 41 has original 6 panel raised and fielded door, 4 upper panels glazed, rectangular fan-light with glazing bars. Inserted late C20 shop window of 2 bows, brick and carstone surround, c.1900 fascia above. Door to south with fanlight. C20 pantiled roof to No. 41 only. No. 37-41 have whitewashed rendered plinths and unmoulded surrounds to doors and to first floor plat bands, but rusticated in same materials to first floor windows.
No. 43 at south has 3 -bay late C19 shop front, architrave surround with brackets and fascia, central 2 leaf door. 2 first floor sashes with margin lights and glazing bars set in whitewashed rendered rusticated surrounds. Slate roof.
Whole terrace has whitewashed rendered moulded eaves cornice, 3 party wall stacks.
