Details
GRIMSTON POTT ROW TF 72 SW Chequers Road 2/41 No. 21, The Shaws II House, facade c.1800 on older core, rendered, pantiles. 5 bays, 2 storeys. End internal stacks. Platband, wide pilaster strips at angles; central bay breaking forward under pediment, full height semi-circular recessed panel. Recessed sashes with glazing bars, blank openings to first floor bays 2 and 4. Doorway to bay 2 with classical surround having "A" within pediment, vermiculated entablature, 6 panelled door, panelled reveals. Left return rendered. Rear: galletted carstone to ground floor, Sandringham sandstone to first floor, dentil cornice, grey unglazed pantiles, quoins to right in C18 brick. Varied fenestration and additions: 1½ storey wing in Sandringham sandstone to bay 1; C19 1 bay 2 storeyed wing in carstone to bay 3 with lean-to to right.
