House, now two attached dwellings, C17, carstone with pantile roof. L shaped. Mitre Farm Cottage to right, Oak Cottage to left extending to rear.
Mitre Farm Cottage: long cell with chimney bay either end, 1½ storeys raised from 1 storey, large end internal stacks; ground floor with doorway to right having gabled wooden porch, double casement with glazing bars to left, a small opening either side of doorway, blocked opening to left chimney bay.
Interior: one large cell with 4 tie beams, large end fire places, that to right with moulding to bressumer, stone bench and niche to right, stairs behind stack removed; inserted staircase to centre of cell.
Oak Cottage: attached to left: single cell with cell to rear; colourwashed carstone with brick dressings, hipped roof with renewed tiles, renewed double casements to ground and first floor. Return to east with 2 recessed sashes with glazing bars, door to left; very large external stack to rear gable.
Interior: large fireplace, massive tie beams with decorative stops.
