Details
SANDRINGHAM WOLFERTON STATION TF 62 NE 2/70 Station House cl50m south-east of Signal Box q.v. 2/73 GV II House, built as Station Master's house, dated 1897; carstone, brick and pebble dash, plain tiles. Irregular plan, 2 storeys. Ground floor of small carstone with brick dressings, moulded brick string course of egg and dart pattern, ½ timbered 1st floor with pebble dash. North-east facade, 3 bays, central 2 storeyed projecting porch open on ground floor to front and left return, 1st floor above gabled with casement of 3 Gothick headed lights, stone frieze below carved with shamrock, thistle and rose, dated 18 97, relief rondel of head of Prince of Wales wearing horned coronet and inscribed JARL EDWARD. South-east facade with polygonal turret to left angle having polygonal roof surmounted by weathercock; projecting 2 storeyed bay to right under ½ hipped roof with fretwork bargeboards. Included for group value.
