7/109 Farm Tea House immediately north east of Oxfootstone Farmhouse
GV II
Former tea house. Early C18 with mid C19 alterations. English bond red brick with pantile roof. Rectangular in plan. The front is blackened header bond with red brick dressings. Pedimented facade supported on pair of pilasters. Moulded brick cornices. Entrance beneath a deep skewback arch. Later casement window, to west side wall - the eastern one blocked and circa late C19 plank door at front. Dentil cornices to side walls. Rear gable with tumbling-in, moulded brick kneeler corbels and platband. Interior: plastered. Plastered groin vault, the groins have moulded plaster flower motifs, each flower linked to the next by 3 rows of beads and with similar flowers forming a circle around the apex. Egg and dart cornice with course of beads below. There is no fireplace.
