CRANBROOK TENTERDEN ROAD (north side) TQ 73 NE SISSINGHURST 3/120 - Wentways and Laylocks GV II
House, now 2 cottages. C17 with C18 rear extension and mid C19 block to front. Timber-framed to rear with brick cladding on ground floor, and tile- hanging above. One post exposed on ground floor on right hand side. Front block of red and blue chequer with some interspersed glazed brick headers. Plain tiled twin span roofs, all half-hipped, except rear ridge to left with its hipped gables. Central stacks on both ridges. Original block of baffle entry plan. 2 storeys, 2 window front, casements, on ground floor under segement heads. Entrance to front ( to right), in C20 lean-to extension right hand side with boarded door. Entrance to laylocks at rear left.
