Details
NEWNHAM SP56SE 4/134 Dicks Farmhouse GV II Farmhouse, Dated 1720. Fine coursed squared ironstone, slate roof, brick end stacks on stone bases. Central staircase plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. 6-panel part-glazed C19 door to left of centre with panelled reveals, moulded wood surround and straight hood on brackets, narrow 8-pane sash window to right with stone lintel and incised keyblock, a similar window above with keyblock, otherwise 16-pane sashes all with stone lintels and keyblocks apart from small rectangular window to ground floor left with chamfered stone surround. Datestone above door inscribed N/TD/1720. Interior has bar-and-spearhead-stop-chamfered spine beams and open fireplace with spearhead-stop-chamfered bressumer.
