Details
HIGHFIELD ROAD 1. 5104 Edgbaston B15 No 16 SP 0585 NW 39/21 II GV 2. Circa 1840-50 two storey detached stucco villa with coach house. Three bay front with plinth; rusticated ground floor up to first floor sill band; frieze with bed mould; hipped slate roof with flat eaves; stucco chimney stacks. Ground floor has plain revealed sashes; first floor has broadly spaced sashes in architrave surrounds rising from sill band, heads flanked by console brackets to moulded cornices; all glazing bars intact. Panelled door in panelled reveals with plain case framed by panelled pilaster strips and cornice with blocking course (formerly had porch). Single storey wing to north also rusticated with pediment-gable,later C19 large window inserted. Link wall with side entrance to left (south) connects pedimented coach house with 4-centred arch entrance (later window breaking into pediment).
