ALLESLEY CP BRICK HILL LANE (off) SP 28 SE 1/4 Farm buildings approximately 3 metres south of Pickford Farmhouse GV II
Farm buildings. C17 and C18. Brick with tile roofs. Arranged around three sides of a square. On the south side are two barns, the western one probably C17 and with a lower roof. The right-hand part of its front wall is timber- framed in square panels with brick infill. The remainder of the wall is of later brick and contains a narrow doorway. To the right is a C18 barn which has a wide doorway at the left of the facade. To the right is the gable wall of the eastern range, which has a first floor pitching hole. The western range, which adjoins at the rear of the western barn, is of a single storey and is timber-framed in square panels with brick infill and with short straight braces to the wall-plate. Interior: the western range has trusses with tie- beams, queen struts, and collars. The western barn has one truss with paired raking struts and one with tie-beam, collar and raking struts. The eastern barn has a truss with tie-beam and raking struts and no evidence for timber- framing.
