GOUGH ROAD 1. 5104 (north side) Edgbaston B15 Nos 111 to 117 (odd) SP 0685 SW 46/19 II GV 2. C1850-55 two pairs of narrowly detached villas of identical design linked by screen passage walls. Each of 2 storeys red brick with Italianate stucco trim, 3 bay symmetrical front. Greek key plat band and frieze. Low gable end slate roof with flat boxed eaves, the gable ends stepped up to parapet coping. Some modernisations with dormer inserted to No 115. The fenestration is vertically linked by plain stucco frames with bracketed cornices on ground floor, and moulded cornices with small acroteria and panelled aprons on first floor, the windows in right hand bay tripartite, the central first floor window surround sits on course of doorway with slight break and anthemion crest. Doorway flanked by quarter and full width pilasters, panelled reveals, double panelled doors, rectangular fanlight, deep entablature with bracketed cornice. The stepped parapet gable ends have triple groups of arched geometric leaded lights through 2 floors, lighting staircase.
