4/53 Pound Farm House 29.12.66 GV II

Farmhouse, now house. Said to be C13 and C14, with C15 central section and C16, C17 and C18 alterations. Further alterations 1968. Ground floor of front elevation of left wing uncoursed stone. Rest timber-framed, clad with red brick in Flemish bond. Ground floor of right wing chequered red and grey brick. Plain tile roof. Central open hall said to have been built between C14 cross-wings which project slightly to front, that to left possibly having C13 ground floor. Left wing extended to rear. 2 storeys on stone plinth. Eaves of right wing slightly higher. Both wings hipped to front. Shouldered brick stack, formerly projecting to left gable end, now within lean-to, with moulded brick plinths to base of flues. Multiple brick ridge stack on stone base to right end of main range. Irregular fenestration of 4-casements; one 3-light to each wing, one single-light over door and one 2-light to right of main range. Blocked rectangular stone window to ground floor of left wing. C20 panelled door to left end of main range. Lean-to to left with stone ground floor, red brick above. Timber-framed rear lean-to, possibly C16, clad with red brick in Flemish bond.
